Townsend Rebel (Townsend Design)
The Rebel achieves exceptional control for ligament instabilities and hyperextension through a unique brace design that incorporates the anatomical concepts of Rotary Varusª. Encapsulated in a sturdy aluminum frame, the patented Townsend Motion hinges restore the knee’s normal axis of rotation, prevent secondary restraints deterioration and rotational instability, and limit the load on reconstructed ligaments. The hinges’ kinematically-correct motion, in concert with the synergistic suspension strap, prevent the Rebel from pistoning -- creating optimum and consistent control throughout range of motion.

Range of Motion Control
